Behind the scenes, we have proudly supported the creation of Mongolia’s first herder cooperative–owned and run knitwear manufacturing facility. The Solum is the very first piece to emerge from this historic partnership – carrying not just noble fibres, but the voices, skills, and legacy of the herder communities who steward the land and animals of Mongolia.
Each Solum is painstakingly crafted in undyed, natural Khangai yak fibres, collected by hand-combing during the spring when they shed their first winter coat. With only 100 grams available per animal each year, these virgin fibres are as rare as vicuña, yet imbued with a distinctive softness, warmth, and natural resilience.
Available in three earth-born colourways: tan, cocoa, and marl. The Solum is designed with a flowing silhouette, front patch pockets, and stitch tension that offers generous ease.
