Our Emblem Sweater re-imagines the time-honoured Fair Isle tradition through a lens of cultural heritage and modern design. At first glance you’ll recognise the rhythmic horizontal bands of classic knitwear, but look closer and you’ll see our signature logo repeated and integrated via the knit to become both motif and structure.
The backbone of the design comes from Scottish Fair Isle—its rich history of stranded colourwork, geometric bursts and dense layering of pattern. We’ve taken that energy, maintained its structural discipline, and given it a fresh role: our logo becomes the repeating element, turning the heritage aesthetic into something entirely uniquely Tengri.
Crucially, this isn’t just about a recreation or a knit-technique: the logo itself is deeply rooted in Mongolian cultural inspiration. Our brand identity was born from nomadic landscapes, the strength of yaks and nomadic herders who are stewards of the land, combined with the stretch of blue sky — a visual language shaped by the unique steppe mountains.
