The Art of Rest
A Meeting of Worlds
From the windswept Khangai Mountains of Mongolia, to the ateliers of Savoir Bedworks in London — two worlds unite through craft and care.
In the Savoir Nº1 Khangai, rare noble fibres from House of Tengri meet the handcraft of Savoir’s master bedmakers, creating not just a bed, but a sanctuary for deep restoration.
Each piece embodies an ethos of regenerative luxury — made slowly, thoughtfully, and in harmony with the natural world.
“We look closely at the provenance of the carefully selected materials we use, so we’re hugely excited about our collaboration with Tengri.”
Nature’s Signature
In the vast Khangai Mountains of Mongolia, herders have cultivated balance with the land for generations — a relationship grounded in respect and renewal.
Crafted by nature, the fibres of the Khangai yak are warm in winter, cool in summer. Available once a year, Tengri noble fibres are hand-harvested responsibly, preserving the ecosystem and supporting nomadic livelihoods.
These noble fibres form the heart of the Savoir Nº1 Khangai, chosen for their softness, breathability, and natural hypoallergenic properties — creating the perfect foundation for restorative sleep.
Crafted Sleep
In Savoir’s London Bedworks, each bed is made by a single craftsperson — entirely by hand. From natural fillings to precision tufting, every stitch and layer is shaped with care.
Over 120 hours of craftsmanship go into each bed, using techniques requiring time and skills now beyond the reach of other bed manufacturers — aligning form and function for ultimate comfort, durability, and design integrity.
The Savoir Nº1 Khangai mattress is filled with extra-deep, high-turn pocket springs and double layers of Tengri Noble Fibres. Above this, a sumptuous topper incorporates four kilogrammes of Tengri Noble Fibres, which encase two layers of premium horse tail curled around a lambswool core.
This is not merely a place to rest, it is where craft becomes care, where artistry supports wellbeing, and where every noble fibre restores the mind and soul.
The hardwood beech frame for each Nº1 is tailor-made for the client – measured, hand-cut and sanded to perfection, the bed's frame is finished with a contrasting walnut or Macassar ebony trim. Each seven-and-a-half-turn pocket spring is encased in soft calico, then hand tied for independent movement.
Resting in Nature
The Savoir Nº1 Khangai embodies balance — between body and mind, luxury and responsibility, heritage and innovation. Experience what deep rest can do when made from nature’s finest materials, crafted by the world’s most skilled hands — a true investment piece designed to last for generations.
