Weaving Belonging, Crafting Identity, Threading Systems Change
Coinciding with London Fashion Week, we’ll consider how craft, design, and cultural heritage can support climate resilience and drive environmental, social, and economic justice. Join us in an intimate fireside conversation, where we explore the radical potential of cloth in shaping identity, community, and systems change.
Chaired by our founder, Nancy Vong Johnston, a multi-award-winning entrepreneur and regenerative designer, the evening brings together dynamic women working at the intersection of craft, culture, and creative resistance.
We will hear from Polly Leonard, founder of Selvedge, Christine Chang Hanway, Director of Stories & co-founder of Source Mountain; and Dr Lynne Hocking, a 7th-generation handweaver, scientist, and storyteller of place. Each will offer a unique lens through which to examine how textiles carry ancestral knowledge, connect us to place, and inspire new narratives of belonging.
Expect a thought-provoking evening of insight, imagination, and meaningful dialogue—with space for Q&A and collective reflection.
This event is part of London Textile Month and welcomes all who seek to weave purpose and possibility into the fabric of our future.
